CAST A DEVEN MAY [Gringoire] Mr. May appeared most recently in Los Angeles, where he received an "Ovation Award" for best lead actor in a musical, for his portrayal of BatBoy in BatBoy The Musical. He also appeared in Pirates of Penzance (Pirate King), Joseph... Dreamcoat (Joseph) and The Courier in Sacramento's CLO Broadway series production of 1776. On Television and Film, he has appeared on Days of Our Lives, Natasia and Denise, and Sunset Beach. DOUG STORM [Quasimodo] Doug returns to the cast of Notre Dame de Paris after performing as a guest artist with the French cast, at the grand opening of the Paris Las Vegas Hotel. He comes directly from the Broadway cast of The Scarlet Pimpernel. Credits include Les Miserables (Feuilly & Enjolras), The Civil War, Terrance Mann's Romeo & Juliet, Chess and Jesus Christ Superstar (Judas). Mr. Storm has also performed at Carnegie Hall and Ceasar's Palace, Atlantic City. JANIEN MASSE [Esmeralda] For the past two years, this native New Yorker has been performing her one-woman show in several venues, including the Venetian and Paris Hotels in Las Vegas. Her favorite roles include Sheila in Hair, Janet in Rocky Horror and conquering Starlight Express. She looks forward to her newest recording project, which is a country-pop trio named SAM. FRANCIS RUIVIVAR [Frollo] Francis has starred on Broadway in Miss Saigon, becoming the first Asian-American to portray the Engineer (replacing Jonathan Pryce). He originated the roll of Lord Toranaga in Shogun The Musical for which he received a Theatre World Award. Most recently he created the opera-singing Lieutenant Torasso in the Tony Award winning Passion. Other Broadway credits: Chess (original cast) and Starlight Express. He has performed with the Baltimore and Oklahoma City Symphonies in An Evening of Lloyd Webber and excerpts from The Phantom of the Opera with the Honolulu Symphony. National tours consist of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber co-starring with Sarah Brightman, CATS as Old Deuteronomy and The Wizard of Oz as the Cowardly Lion. He was featured in concert in Anyone Can Whistle and Chess both at Carnegie Hall. Film and Television: Murphy Brown, Pointman (Movie of the Week), Passion (American Playhouse). He also appeared in The King and I (King), Forum (Pseudolous), and Evita (Che). MARK W SMITH [Phoebus] Mark was raised in Jonesborough, Tennessee. He originated the role of Mikey in the long running hit musical "The Ballad of Little Mikey." In London, he was the lead singer in the world famous Chippendales' "One Night Only" at both the Strand and Shephard' Bush Theatres. Mr Smith's television credits include playing the role of Joel on Days of Our Lives and appearances on General Hospital and The Young and the Restless. Mr Smith's regional credits consist of Pippin, Big River, 1776 and Anything Goes. JESSICA GROVE [Fleur-de-Lys] Jessica is an 18 year old from Columbus, Ohio. She has performed in New York and nationally as "Dorothy" in Radio City Entertainment's The Wizard of Oz, co-starring Mickey Rooney, Eartha Kitt, Roseanne, Liliane Montevecchi and JoAnne Worley, and was a Joseph Jefferson nominee for best actress. Ms. Grové's other credits: Oliver! National tour, Turn of the Screw New York, and Anne Frank, Yours, Anne. DAVID JENNINGS [Clopin] His many Broadway show credits include staring as Booker T. Washington and Coalhouse Walker, Jr. in Ragtime, John in Miss Saigon, Jesus in Godspell, Duke in Play On, Once Upon a Mattress, Ain't Misbehavin and Guys & Dolls. His films include The Pick-Up Artist, The Sleepless and Boomerang, starring Eddie Murphy. Mr. Jennings has also performed throughout the world opposite such artists as Aretha Franklin, Harry Connick, Jr. and the Temptations, and he has appeared before President and Mrs. Clinton at the White House, and before King Hassan II at his palace in Casablanca, Morocco. CAST B JEAN-FRANCISO BREAU [Gringoire] Mr. Breau interrupted medical school to start a singing career. In 1997, at 19 years old, Mr. Breau won a people's choice award in Quebec. A songwriter-composer-singer, he was in 1998 the discovery of the year at the "Gala des Eloizes" in Nouveau Brunswick, Canada as well as the first prize winner at the Festival of Granby. In 1999, he was chosen to perform Gringoire in the immensely successful French-Canadian production of Notre Dame de Paris. An auspicious first stage experience for the young performer. ERIC HEART [Frollo] Mr. Heart was most recently seen in the original Broadway hit "The Scarlet Pimpernel" as Coupeau and the menacing Chauvelin. Ms. Meson starred in the French musical Pretty Emily, performed in several classical and contemporary theatre plays with actors of the French Academy and appeared in more than twenty commercials. She has released four albums; three of them have gone gold. Ms. Meson has sold more than one million records in France and received two nominations for the French Music Awards. MARZ [Clopin] Marz is a native of Los Angeles studied at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. Upon completion, Marz went on to perform in such musicals as Play On!, Sisterella, City of Peace and Wedding Band. Also a talented choreographer and dancer, Marz has worked with such artists as Britney Spears, Brandy, Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart and the Artist Formerly Known as Prince. Some of his film and television credits include Basketball, Father's Day, Kazaam, Malcolm and Eddie and Pacific Blue. Having written for various artists, Marz enjoys spending time in the recording studio and collaborating with other artists.
